The Caledus BridgeBUSTER® is an enhanced design of reaming guide shoe designed specifically to overcome a
number of problematic wellbore conditions when running liners or casing strings. These would include bridging-off,
sloughing, swelling, ledging, washouts, cuttings beds, mobile formations and wellbore tortuosity.
The ‘teardrop’ pattern, premium tungsten carbide cutting structure, gives full 360° coverage for use in rotation or
reciprocation (when the ability to rotate is an issue). The pattern lay-out is also specifically designed to give divergence
towards the nose. This feature ensures that larger particles of debris are captured and milled up so they can be
circulated harmlessly to surface.
All tools have back-reaming capability and an integral spiral milled blade section for stabilisation during reaming and
centralisation during cementing.
The tool is equipped with robust but easily drillable Aluminium eccentric guide nose as standard, for guiding over
ledges, through washouts and re-finding the wellbore. Custom styled noses, such as the drillable DrillNOSE™ for
drilling soft formations or the floatation FloatNOSE™ for casing/liner floatation can be supplied.
